I'd prefer St Pete, but will be happy to go with whatever.

Is there a safe place to leave a truck and trailer overnight in or near NPR?

cdavisb may be able to park them at my brother in laws place if that is where it is.. I will be leaving my boat it the water behind the house.. If i bring it... may just use his Hydro sport since it is hanging there already... But not the same... But driving the nissan altima down would be like hitting 3 numbers in the loto compared to dragging "Bill Bait" Down..lol

Frankly we just like Anclote but for us it really doesn't matter distance is the same - I will help all with driving directions if we decide up there or maybe you could all meet at Ft Desoto and drive up from there maybe

there is a ramp in the Cottee River ( Nicks Park) nearby but I don't use it and would have to check on safety but should be OK, don't know about a parking fee but most have them now, Anclote is in the same county and has one as do all Pinellas ramps

- Anclote Park at the end of the Anclote River is well protected although you would have to pay the $6 per day parking, 5 good ramps and thats where I will leave mine.

I would consider driving the boat up frankly, at least from FD, the only potential issue is between Johns Pass and Clearwater pass with a long no wake zone there - other than that its ICW all the way. Its a nicer boat ride from there than the car

weather may have something to say about everything at Nov 1

. . . Denny you are correct - coming over 710 to 98 in Oki thru Zolfo Springs to 64 is a great drive and great roads. The run north gets worse but just running over 75/275/ Skyway and dropping in at Ft Desoto would allow you to hook up with the guys driving up, as they have to go right passed there.

. . . Denny the North Bar at Anclote is pet friendly as is the Ramada so Shadow better be coming, just like Sandy it wouldn't be right without her - just say'in

Dixon, that's the route I normally take heading over that way. Took 70 over thru Arcadia to get Sandy's race boat but I noticed the shoulders were pretty narrow, so we came back thru Zolfo and it's much better with more room to pull off if you have a tire problem.

Shadow will be 13 in November, so don't know if she'll be up for that trip, but will try to bring her if possible. She's still pretty healthy but slowing down, with more naps and less lizard chasing! Our nightly 45 minute walk is now about 30 minutes, with a lot more stops to sniff! Must have picked up that habit from our beagle! Denny

Denny I stop and sniff alot more now too, and stopped lizard chasing years ago

ya that 98 is wide and smooth

LOL .. normal is overrated !!!!!!!!!!! Glad your out of the H word.... After meeting DonV down in the Keys i am thinking Most SeaCraft owners on here are NOT normal.... we spend Large sums of money on boats that are VERY old... especially when you factor in the extra stress the water world puts on boats..
