Ok, so looking at the calender made me wax nostalgic for a bit. I will post a few photo's of C/R.
These are from a 2 years ago with LLL/TM, she really wasn't the fishing type, but as long as she actually didn't have to do anything with rigging the rod, life was good. All I know is, the fish looked up through that clear water and said, "man, I need to be in that boat". Mimmosa's and LLL/TM were always a good thing.
Some trips home aren't as calm as you would wish them to be.

SYT was like clockwork, for some reason around April she would go on Walkabout, which usually left me feeling sorry for myself, the best way I knew to fix that was, boattrip!! Nothing like a cigar and clear water to clear the head.
So, the Bahama's, Memorial Day and camping on C/R became sort of a ritual.
These are from 3 years ago, as you can see everyone had a pretty good time. Not everyone camped on the boat, just me. :-)

There are a few good thing's to go "trolling" with when you are a 50 something yr old male.
A baby, (someone else's), a dog, those are the good ol' stand-by's. Well last year, I found a new one by mistake. Try a 20 something Special Forces stud. A friend of mine has a son who is in the Special Forces, he had some time off, we where having some drinks and he suggested a Bahama's trip, ala camping on the SeaCraft, I knew he was used to camping and he wanted to drink, dive and sleep, not necessarily in that order. Off to the Islands we go, went to Big John's an lo and beholt, this is what he came back with, two late 20 somethings, looking for guess what? The same thing we where. Go figure----. Well, the true story is a little to torrid for CSC, just take your lead from the last pic and things progressed from there.

I'm going to get off track for a second, just so everyone doesn't think we have lock on pretty girls down south, these are from my captain days, this was a photo shoot for the Cleveland Cavaliers Cheerleader Calendar, taken on the back of an 80' Mangusta, in guess where? Cleveland, some funny stuff that day.

Back to boat building.
I am an analog guy living in a digital world. I must say, I thoroughly enjoy the sound and smell of a 2 stroke screaming across the shallow, clear waters of konk-land.
I have installed many a 4 stroke on my customers boats, but this will be my first personal foray into 4 stroke territory, and I must confess, I am a little excited. Ok, alot excited.
Boat was launched yesterday, w/l was checked. She floated good, real happy.
One thing is pretty clear, for a boat that doesn't have much stuff, this little rocket has, lot's of chit.
The answer is in the details.
Flush latches, hinges, recessed lips, screwless rodholders, SeaStar Pro Steering. And just a whole host of little things, not all ideas are mine. And I must say, the steering hose's through the bracket idea came from non other than Mr. Herman himself. Who, even though we do the same thing, "mess about in boats", has never ever been anything but helpful and a true gentleman.

Digging the console upgrade !!! I plan to raise the front of my console as well to flush mount my electronics... And the corral and blue look great together !! I have a long list of thiings to do to mine and have gotten a good start on adding and installing... i have to paint the sole due to varish of some sort. A previous owner tried to varnish the teak with it installed on the boat and got it all ver the inside of the boat and then tried to whipe it up just smearing it around... It is a sticking point for my better half.
