Very nice indeed!!!
Very nice. Classic!!
Thanks guys...what I did was get some 3/4" * 6" * 10 ft. Florida Cypress. Re-sawed it and then planned it down to approx. 1/4 inch planks. After that then 3 coats of varnish on the back side, and 10 coats on the finished side. Then some oval head silicone bronze screws and after 200 counter sunk holes the job is done. HA!

Can't wait to see it in person !!!!!!! Absolutely increadible !!
Sandy....for those who might remember....I'm thinking the cost for a ride will be the same as an "E" ticket, or two!!!! :) I'm willing to use a "D" ticket just to look at it up close!!
Outstanding Terry!! |
PIMP! Awesome. :)
Stunning..... Please park it next to mine at the gathering. I think just being parked next to it will allow some of the excess beauty to drift over and enhance my sled.

Recap of Sunday
Here are some answers to some questions...does it have a Bimini? Yes it does, in FL. you need one. During the winter months I can get away with not having it on, however that being said it will be on for the CSC outing.
The boat rides like a dream, and it seems to like running about 3000 rpms which is approx. 28-29 a little engine trim and no tabs. Burns approx 8 gph at this range. According to Mercury the stroker has more torque than the stock 502 and I believe it...this puppy jumps on plane. As far as final cost I have spread sheet going and I am not up to date on it, but I can tell you this, It is more than 35k but less than 50K. Keep this in mind, everything is brand new...so if you had seats ,rails or fittings and good motor your cost would be at least 20k less. I do know that I have approx. 7k in glass epoxy and fairing compound. Paint and primer alone was over $500. A lot of this stuff was purchased with a tax id, so I was getting as close to contractor pricing that is out there. Am I happy the way it turned out...you bet. However there are a few things that are bugging me, and I keep saying REMEMBER this is a boat, and it was build to use and not to look at. So get over it. Do I have a list of what I would do different ??? You bet, but I will save that for future discussions....:p A bunch of pictures from the Sunday Launch...not in any particular order but I will comment on some of them... Getting ready to tow... http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...pse8d31550.jpg Precarious launching area on our little island...2 wheel drive will get it in, but need 4 wheel to get it out  http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps1071d57d.jpg Need Champaign http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps773b443c.jpg It floats http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps9a0d5482.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psef6c84fb.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps7e016124.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psefc078ce.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps63ae1082.jpg Thru Hulls http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps9b80b3ca.jpg Thru Hull with 350# Did not notice any water coming in...flappers on T/H Plus they angle upward. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psd506528e.jpg Max Our Nephew Doggy :D http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps20ef4f99.jpg |
