Hey, I'll be up on the Cape in August. I should be able to slip on down for the day with boat in tow! Sounds like a fun get-together!

Anyone know if there is trailer parking anywhere in the area that weekend? Considering Jazz Fest is going, I'm thinking that it's going to be tight.

Re: Narragansett Bay area gathering

Depending on where you will launch I a, 99% confident we will be OK with parking. If you want to launch at 3rd beach, my house is just up the street and if we launch at Melville my good friends shop is also just up the street. Not to mention there usually is a large amount of parking at both locations.

I would write the Ft adams ramp off as there is very little parking to begin with

Trayder,

My schedule is sure to be screwed up that weekend, so I don't want to put anyone out (you're at the top of the hill, right?)
Melville?....another ramp or beach w. launch area?

Re: Narragansett Bay area gathering

The Melville ramp, also known as Weaver Cove, is in Portsmouth, about 5 miles up the bay from Newport. This ramp is nice as it is well maintained, has a ton of parking and since it is up the bay it is usually a calm run down to Ft. Adams.

If you come to the island from RT 24 S just stay on 24 until it ends and turns into RT 114, at the 4th light ( dunkin donuts and Mobil on the left) take a right and follow down hill to the first non-military road left turn, the ramp is 1000 ft on the right.

Its still a "GO".

I would like to get a tally of who is showing up for sure only 100%

There are 2 things that are going to happen on Saturday August 13th

1: the raft up in front of Ft Adams, around 12 noon

2: The cook out at my home around 6-7 pm

for the cookout I will have hamburg and rolls, and some soda but would like people to bring some stuff,ie: hot dogs, potato salad, etc.

please let me hear who is coming
