Very sexy, the boat that is! Amazing how big she is in that photo with you beside it during hook up. Congrats on a job well done. Cant wait for a project 21' to show up in my price range... Been waiting patiently for a while now. The 21's got to be the coolest short vessel ever made!!!
One non-boat question? Quote:"Max Our Nephew Doggy" Is that a Australian Shepard? Here is my Aussie pepper: Attachment 5540 |

NICE avatar Terry!! :)

Great lines, you don't see boats with that profile anymore, every modern boat out there looks the same nowadays. Excellent job!

Very nice! Beautiful. Hope you don't mind me asking, what brand are your seats? Simple design, but they look comfortable. Congratulations on completion. Must be a great feeling.

Amazing job on the boat. The blue hull really highlights the unique shape of the 21. It is a bit like a 25 for the hull entry at the bow, a bit like a 20 at the stern, and a shape all its own everywhere else. An outstanding job on a unique boat.

They adjust 3 ways...up/down, forward/back, and swivel. |
GPS Install
Picked up a new 740s from a member last spring and now I get to mount it :D
Of course there is no such thing as just mount the bracket and away you go. Needed to fabricate a mounting pad so the unit would fit. Used some left over windshield wood and started hammering sawing and planning away...OK no hammering... Trial Fit http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps6da9b2c7.jpg Used the same type of mounting for the windshield (carrier bolts) and some t-nuts so not to gaul the wood when removing. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps2eb1bc4d.jpg Sunset last night with unit on http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps83e94ede.jpg Remove GPS today, sand, prime, and paint the pad white. Got to be ready for the run and outing next weekend... http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps6ca052e5.jpg |
Lisa saw the picture of Sharon in the boat and says she wishes she was there :)

Basically the boat is finished...LOL Right!:D
Anyway thought I might post this mod...in case no one else has thought of it or needs it. After a few trips out in bumpy water I noticed that the front v-hatch was jumping out of the rail where it sits. I did not hinge it originally (dumb) because I thought I would not use it much (life jacket storage) and that I could just open and slide back to retrieve stuff. Well I was wrong  I wanted to hinge the lid and then have something hold it open while I was digging around. Best solution to date was 5200 hinges to the liner and to make a hinge that would flap one way and lock another. Hope this makes sense. Rod Holders

After going out a few times I discovered that I was in need of some rod storage areas . I did not want to put them on the inside of the gunnels for the obvious reason... so this is what i came up with.
One piece of cypress left from the side boards. Drilled and Varnished. Attachment 7135 Attachment 7136 Attachment 7137 It has worked out well so far. |
What a great job and phenomenal finished project! Haven't been on the site for a while but first thread I wanted to check out. Enjoy! You've definitely earned it......

Would like to see video of the boat running into 2'-4' chop from your boat AND other boat so we can see how it runs .
Would likely be the only video in existence of this hull running in chop, not just flat or near flat calm seas. Sure it's asking a lot, but would be an interesting piece of nautical history, brought back to life by you !! Congratulations. Terrific looking boat. |

Hello this vessel looks similar to my HiLiner Gypsy 222 and I’m looking because the capacity plate is missing and I need a picture of one so I can make one. Do you know if your boat is the same hull?

Oh lord, the ride. |
if the 21 is heads and tails better riding than the Hiliner 222 then I need a ride. That's saying a lot and I've owned an outboard powered and I/O powered Hiliner. I will admit the 21 hull looks the goods.
|
It’s a huge 21. I have a pic of one side by next to my 23 and another members 25. More hull in the water than both of the Potters. The 21s offshore race history is unparalleled for a hull in its class.
