52 sounds pretty fast for that hull! My dive buddy has a fast one and there isn't much boat left in the water after 40. At 50+ I can't imagine there is enough hull left in the water to have a great deal of control. I tried adjusting his trim tabs at 45 and the whole world tilted sideways instantly, I won't be doing that again! I guess its good to have the power there if you want it for anything though.

congrats, Turned out to be a nice little conversion... I like the 200 on my 20's too. I is a little big on these hulls but you don't have to run the hell out of it to get a 40 mph cruse and you can out run a storm if needed. Not sure what the hpdi weight comes in at but it don't look like it draws that much more draft than normal. Those flotation tubs make a big difference, don't believe it just leave the plug out and you will find out how much lower it sits real fast. Again, very nice. A lot of work on this on but well done and worth the efforts.

Wow Andre, she turned out great!
Hope all is going well for you and Happy Thanksgiving! |
The hpdi weighs in at 475lbs. It's a sweet running rig! We were in 2-3ft new years day and it is so fun to run! Here's a little video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2K_LGW_emA
