ESD, Styro coolers work good for bait/chum.

There's trailer parking at Harry Harris park, but only daytime. Any campers can park truck/trailers across the street from our place in the vacant lot. Website says $5 fee for non-residents on weekends ... Harry Harris Park, Tavernier, Fl

Heard the Sunoco station has rigged bally, about MM 98-99.
The guy went out the other day & caught Wahoo chest high, day before caught several dolphin. He goes out a couple miles, just past the reef in 100-140 depth & trolls south.

It's been real windy here lately, may need some good tie-downs for the tents.

Drifting with baits up in the column and near the bottom are excellent strategy - although tough to drift with the wind up. Ballyhoo are readily caught on hook and line in a chum slick with hair hooks, then drifted or put on the bottom. The Gulf Stream had been very close, like 1/2 nautical miles off the reef edge. A little trick I used once is drift down current of the drift boats about 400 yds - double sail hook up, drifting dead hoo's -they make a good chum line

yes i have learned a little trick for that. you have to peel the shrimp pieces and then they attack it. they also like the crumbs in the bottom of the pringles can so i was thinking of trying some little bread balls as well..

I hear they got nuts over a french hard roll in the afternoon but prefer crossants in the am :D

when we go snapper fishing we should just go together and anchor close and all the chum will help - some can catch the hoo's then too

Oh this WIND IS KILLING ME. It has been blowing for about a week now. 30- KTS solid all day today. Oh well, rigging a few of Sandy's baits, a 12 pack and a nice cigar under a palm tree is still not a bad way to live.

My idea of ice fishing is sticking my hand in the cooler for another beer :D
