some light blue-green tint to the windshield glass would be cool.

I remember seeing that black silverhawk and the green tinted glass did look nice. I'll look into it when I pick up the last window pane this week. It's hard to see but they already have a slight green tint to them already. The two cabin windows have a smoke tint. Thanks for the nice comments.

Beautiful work, strick. She's really coming together. Can't wait to see the seat boxes installed. BTW, what's the spec on the windshield glass? Thickness? Tempered or laminated?

I got a little bit of work accomplished this past weekend. There is a lot of teak in this boat and I have a new appreciation for this 37 year old wood. How it can withstand the elements for so long and still look great after all these years.

We got the engine test fit. since I raised the manifolds now have to cut the Y that comes off the out drive and put a 90 degree adapter in place.

Two access hatches installed in the transom

There are two areas in the helm that needed to be filled in with fiberglass panels so I laid up a small sheet of glass and cut out the pieces to fit and then cabosiled them in place.

Teak looks great. How did you freshen it up? I need to do the same.

strick,
Nice work! I like your idea for the two panels where the plywood bulkhead was exposed. I'd like to place an order for a pair for mine. :D

I think it was a very good idea to add riser extensions to your motor. It sits pretty deep in that deep vee hull. I don't know the spec for Volvo, but Mercruiser wants the top of the riser elbow a minimum of 13" above static water line with the boat fully loaded and you need at least 3" riser extensions to get there.

Sorry for the late reply... been out of town for a few days. I sanded it down with 150 grit and then washed with teak cleaner/soap and scrub brush and then 3 coats of Cetol

I dont know much about restoring teak but I wanted a satin finish rather then a gloss and I wanted it to last longer then an oil finish. I like he way it looks. Hope to get cranking again this weekend. A million things to do and not much time.

Thanks! Did you sand the louvers 1 by 1? I have a big door to do.
