Catman - welcome to C-S, What part of CT are you from?

There are a few 23 cuddys here but I think you may be the first 20... The markert is certainly more favorable to the cuddy models than the CCs, certainly up north here...

Thanks John R.. I live down by the water in Greenwich. I have never seen any other older S/C boats in the area. I plan on doing some hullwork to the boat next month. I have some small cracks that look like spider webs on some spots of the gel coat. I think they are surface blemishes only. kkeping in mind the hull is 31 yrs
old. The boat has not been in the water for the past 2 summers. Any ideas on fixing that situations. The transom is solid.

reel smoker...
i think i might take the prize for the lowest price paid for a 20' cuddy. $700.00 with a 135 rude on the back. i dropped it right in the water and had 2 wonderfulsummers on it. i had a baby 2 years ago and the boat hasn't sen water since. i told my wife "next summer i'm bringing my daughter on the boat". !!!

Ben,

Sorry to take so long to respond - spent the weekend fishing Walker's Cay and just got back.

My transom was questionable - the wood was soggy but those older SeaCrafts had lots of good fiberglass to compensate. I never really pushed it in a big sea and normally don't fish in the rough stuff on a 20' boat anyway.

The Honda 130 is an incredible motor, the major drawback is the weight - about the same as a 225 2 stroke. Top end on the GPS is 37 to 40 mph on smooth water full tank and no head wind trimmed right. I'm running a 17 (I think) Honda SS prop and the hull is bottom painted. It doesn't seem to matter (performance) how many people are in the boat, and I usually fish with 1 or 2 other people. I like to cruise at about 25 and at that speed this motor makes gas ! I am still suprised at the fuel dock at how little fuel it uses. Trolling or at idle the motor is barely audible and it starts with 1 key stroke even if it has been sitting for a month .
