I used easy off also. Just be sure to wash off all residue, as I have been told that it can damage gelcoat if left on too long. Been three years since I used it, and haven't noticed any damage to the original gelcoat. A small putty knife allowed me to scrape off several layers of bottom paint with almost no effort. Oven cleaner is caustic (strong base/sodium hypochlorite), which many paint strippers use as the active ingredient. Be sure to use good rubber gloves and eye protection.

Years ago I used Mr Muscle oven cleaner on my 20 Mako and it worked very good like cc describe it melted off, I was impressed. I used,if I remember correctly 6 or 8 cans.
