Supposedly the boat sat for 16 years in a storage yard. The owner moved to Alaska and did not bring it with him. I dont know why when some of the best fishing on the planet is up there..anyhow the current owner bought the boat about 4 years and I think he may have bought a used Yammi 250 and had it converted to a salt water motor by supposedly putting all new SS parts. He has taken it to Mexico three times since the conversion and put 30 hours on it. I'll bet there is no hour meter on the boat. Yes it all sounds like a fish story to me as well. That is why I'm getting it surveyed.

Offer him 9k for it... Write it down on a card and tell him it's good for one year. Same price same condition. I'll bet he call right before Christmas.. I bought 3 boats that way and paid just what I have offered...

you must like that boat to swallow all this. I'd still check around. I like the offer on a card Theory.

If you want the boat then make the deal subject to satisfactory survey results, you can then bail out or renegotiate the price, at least you'll know the boats condition and can make an educated guess at what kind of expense you'll be in for. I say don't pass it up based on everything you hear on this website. I paid too much for mine when I bought it and now it doesn't matter because the price for used SeaCrafts is way up and I couldn't NOW by my boat for what I paid. Go for it.
