Re: Ouch

I recently had a person in their Ford Excursion with 26' boat in tow blast past me doing close to 80mph in heavy traffic here in Atlanta (in the rain). If the Regulator incident reported in the paper is correct in that the driver was speeding, AND nobody unrelated to the actual vehicle or boat was hurt, it makes a great photo and a wonderful diversion from an otherwise dull ride home. This is one of those things that the person driving will probably only do once.

Anyone know the tow Cap. of an expedition? A 26 Regulator fully rigged must weigh in excess of 10,000lbs

I wonder how insurance will handle that?

"When properly equipped with the available 5.4L Triton™ V8 engine, Expedition can tow up to a class-leading 8,900 lbs. ... "

I'd agree with Trayder on the 9500 to 10,000 rigged out weight...

A "little" under powered...

Boat projects take time, so how do you propose he could have had his 26' deep-V turned into a 26' flats boat any faster. I admire his creativity.

Guys ...I read "a 22 foot boat at exit 26" guess Regulator is making something to fit that consumer niche between the 21 and the 23 and 24 ...

Mark ... like the "flats boat" idea !
