and a bid on the 27'. Sounds like the 7 boat theory will soon replace the 4 boat theory.
My guess is the reserve on the 27 is 15k+. I will talk to them tomorrow and see what the deal is with the 27.

The Seafari guy emailed me today and lowered his reserve to $1,500. I'm sticking at $1,000. Someone should go for it. It's one of Potters first boats! I'm saving myself for the 27...

The 27 is an interesting setup. One of those 27' show up about ever 3 months here in Florida it seems. My only concern other than the condition of the boat (obviously run as a charter) is that 2 diesels with running gear plus 300 gals of fuel plus a tower are probably too heavy for the 27. The 27 is not a particularly dry boat to begin with (better than the 33' though), and with all that weight, it will be throwing some water around. I guess you could install isenglass and put a parascope and snorkle on it [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]. One of the 27's I was on had spray rails and they seemed to help some.
My mechanic used to be an engine rigger during the Mosely and part way thru the Potter era, and has some interesting perspectives on some of the setups that were done. Hate to burst the bubble over here, but they weren't all perfect [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img].
I have been on 2 27' seacrafts, and I think that that in that size, I would look at an older Pursuit, but hey, if you got the time and money, and want the complete museum collection, go for it.
I will be up in the panhandle on business next week, and go right by there so if it is still around, I might stop and take a look at it. It is a unique piece of work.
