Scott I agree. But I have yet to see a Tsunami post '74 and there's quite a few of Sceptre's, Tsunami's and their cousin the Savage down here.
There's inconsistancies in what we know for example, why is a TXY boat built in '81......? My '72 SF I know for a fact was built in '71 and still has secrets to tell.

I have a question:

Is there a definitive way to tell by which manufact a SeaCraft was built other than the serial #'s. What I mean, is there a tell-tale, obvious quality degradation that is easily noticed between the different manufacturers ?

I have a Potter hull, and I know the hype about it. But, when analyzed, is a CSY, or whoever else made the SeaCraft hulls after Potter, that much less in manufact quality.

If so - where were the corners cut ?

Brian if you are thinking of getting one I know of a gentleman just north of you who will be putting his Tsunami on the market soon. It's a IO and the engine is new.. boat is in excellent condition. Asking around 12K for it.

Keep me informed please. I'm not sure the wife would go for it, but it's worth a shot.

I have a 79 Sceptre. Some one has all the specs for most of the years. I forget who it is but I remember getting the specs on my 79 from him. Scotty.
