Re: Bow rail, 20 ,deep 6 or repair
Run a 1" tape line around the top cap outside & Inside . Then NoN-Skid it. Slight contrasting paint.Cleans it up & will stop Ya from slipping off(What the Foot/Hand rail did before.

Re: Bow rail, 20 ,deep 6 or repair
Thanks Jason,
Since we're talking recessed rails, The one I used is 3/4 pipe, a little thicker than the origional. With the E-tec stand offs, you can slide them down the pipe so you can use the origional holes. Also the cost of the E-tec parts and pipe are only about 300.00. Its very important to bend the new pipe exactly like the origionals! |
Re: Bow rail, 20 ,deep 6 or repair
Thanks for the info. I've been in contact with E-tec. The fellow I spoke to said they were aluminum and the round needs 3/4 id pipe. This may not work for me since my fabricator already bought the 7/8 od tubing. I'll talk to him to see what can be done. If he can easily use the 7/8 on other stuff, I'll probably go with e-tec parts.
