I know what private messaging is for. Thanks. I was just wondering if that quote means what I think it means. I suppose if the owner didn't want the whole community to see it, he wouldn't have written it in the original description of the boat.

Swimmer as in yes, it was partially submerged. I'm told that waves came over the transom when it was tied in the slip and eventually the battery for the bilge pumps failed. And with the twin Merc's on the stern you can picture what happened next. That's why the engines needed all the triage work, and the batteries got replaced, etc. I decided to have it completely rewired to avoid problems down the road, since the fuse panels were getting pretty corroded anyway, etc. Hence all the new wiring, new switch panel, new battery switches, etc. That is also why the Merc guy told me go out and put a LOT of hours on the motors before putting the boat away for the winter, which I did. And they both started on the first crank this spring and are still running strong.

But the price I'm asking reflects zero value on the motors. They could last a few more seasons, or they could die tomorrow, who knows? But what you're buying is the hull (which is in beautiful shape), the t-top, the rewiring job, the new electronics, the new leaning post, etc. A bunch of the work I had done was not necessary, I just wanted to have it done -- the old leaning post for example was perfectly usable, it just looked ugly and had no back rest or handrail. I also had the steering completely overhauled so that it is much smoother and more effortless than it was.

Any more questions, just let me know. By the way, I was wrong (ignorant) on the "outriggers" listing -- they are actually downriggers that go with the boat. Can you tell I'm new at all this?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Things are busy. I did sell the boat though. Thanks for your interest. At that price, it got lots of interest and sold very quickly.
