In the two day "Sailfish Quickie" (dead bait only) sponsored by Finest Kind Tackle here in Stuart, day one (yesterday) produced 13 releases for one boat... BTW: Seas 5'-7'
Were those 13 from your boat? See ya, Ken |
Re: Trayders Photos on THT/SC 23 Falmouth
YeahI 've heard the bite has been pretty good up there. My brother is catching a bunch everyday up in Islamorada as well.Bait was impossible yesterday so I ended up taking my folks mackerel fishing and wore thier arms out.

Re: Trayders Photos on THT/SC 23 Falmouth
Yes,he has a sail on 6# in that shot and we are anchored up in 240ft,so there's not much of a chance of catching it without throwing the anchor ball and chasing it,which would of taken entirely too much effort.Besides the best part is the bite and the first couple jumps after that it becomes work,so we usually just pop them off.Although I did get one to the boat that day on 12# and that reminded me why we pop them off.

I could not catch a cold if I licked a CDC petri-dish and these two are hooking up on nice sailfish with 8lb test and getting pissed because they are "sick" of catching sails............. |
