Lookin Good. I can't wait to see the finished product.

What was all that caulking around the rod holder and sides? I looks like there was wood paneling glued up in some of those shots. Is that correct?

Chris, No the original color was a light Blue sort of like the Awl grip Sea foam. I wanted something that looked fast. The color is called lemon ice, which is about the same as the old corvette yellow.

Bryan, The best that we can tell the caulking was 5200 that was used to glue the teak on; if it wasn't 5200 then it was something similar. Mike said that it was a real PITA getting the teak off. It actually took chunks of fiberglass with it!

Was the teak original or something someone added afterwards?

Bryan, It was original. From what I can tell all Seavette's have this. It appears they used the teak to cover up a seam.

From what I think I know of the SeaVette's are that they have the same perimeter deck as a center console, with the cabin deck & sides bonded to it. The teak covers up the seam between them.

Doug, You are correct. I didn't realize it myself until Mike pointed it out to me.

Steve,
I stopped by Mike's over the weekend to drop off some pics of my boat with his panels installed.
Your boat looks great, the pics don't do the paint justice-that sucker is YELLOW!
Good luck with the project.
Donnie

<font color="yellow">Donnie,
Mike did mention that someone from the site stopped by, I didn't know who it was through. I might be making a trip over there next weekend with my dad. My dad is going to buy another SeaBird out of Ft Lauderdale. I did here that it was more yellow than what it appears in the pics. :D
