I would like to pressure test my fuel tank before I remove it any suggestions?
Thanks

20 foot cc, 1975. I removed coffin cover, plugged hoses. How many psi 5 or ?

Will check for leaks on top, all fitting, hoses, sending etc. Anyone make up a tool for this? Thanks again, Bob

I always thought it was 5-7 psi. I was WRONG. Should only take 3! Less if you have/find leaks.

What year is the Seafari in Question?

The tank specs vary by year. For instance, I have a 1972 Seafari with a tank that measures about 35 gallons. Later models had larger tanks.

I replaced my tank in 2017 with Patriot Marine in NJ. They were the low bidder in NJ at that time. Cost was $752.21 including 4 mounting tabs, 90 degree fill, vent fitting, sender, 2 part epoxy coating. Material was 1/8" 5052 Aluminum.

My boat had no tank when I got it, and it is a trapezoidal shape, so starting with measurements from Bushwacker, I built a plywood mock-up to be sure I could fit the tank in through the opening in the deck. I am very glad I did!

If you want, I can post the measurements and diagram with some photos. Just let me know if you need it, depending on year.
