That is a great deal. As others have said, run, don't walk.

Wavelength,
The 200 & 225 yamaha 4 strokes came from the factory a little light on power. I have to agree with everyone that if the engine works fine and the hull is ok, I would jump on that deal even if it's a little underpowered. |

Trouble in Yankeetown  I went to do the deal on my new 1977 23 and the guy says "I can't seem to find the title and by the way the boats in my ex-girlfriends name" what a dumb ass. Can I say dumb ass here? Sorry! I told him to call me if he gets the title straight. He wanted a deposit and I said again when you get the title. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Please review a deal on a 1977 23ft.
I hgad the same experience a while back. Found a 20' in S Florida that sounded too good to be true. I was ready to buy sight unseen and I asked him if he had the title. He said he didn't and "you really don't need one". Yea right.

Re: Please review a deal on a 1977 23ft.
I went through this BS last year, but I got my boat & title.
In NJ all the previous owner has to do is to go to the local DMV, fill out the appropriate paperwork and a new title will be generated. The key is the title will be generated in the name of the last known registrant. Good luck & don't give us. Great deals sometimes happen because you are willing to bull your way through the BS. |
