I'd at least hang onto it and part it out. A good V6 gearcase will fetch a lot of gas money or new fishing gear.

In the early eighties I had a 1975 20'cc with a Mercury 115 hp straight six engine and it was plenty of horsepower,top end was about 40 mph.

i just got rid of a 1985 evinrude 150 with 85 pounds in each cylinder. it never let me down mechanically. the key switch shorted out and wouldnt run but thats all. i replaced it with a 1984 mercury 200. i only got such an old motor because i know that it wasnt run very much over the last 10-15 years.
