Thanks everyone, for the advice. I'll be giving Owens a call before I head back to FL in March. Leaning toward a single axle with brakes & torsion susp.

Obviously the state you live in and the way you use your boat/trailer will probably tell you what you need. Here in MA you don't need brakes (if I remember correctly until 10,000#). Do yourself a favor and take the advice to call Jeff at Owens and Sons. they have the dimensions for SeaCrafts and will build it for your boat, and the trailer will probably need minimal adjusting to be perfect. Last year I bought a trailer from Jeff and it's great. Two axle torsion suspension bunk trailer with no brakes. I only go a few miles to the ramp and I wamted to minimize maintenance so this trailer is perfect. Price delivered to Massachusetts was competive or better than anything I could find up here and the quality is excellent.
