Re: 115 eTec on 20CC
So my local eTec dealer wants $10,800 for the 115 installed with controls and a prop. A little rich for my blood, considering the little Evinrude 85 continues to run perfectly with plenty of power for tubing the teens. It cruises nicely at 25-27 with WOT of 32. Not exactly a gas miser, though.
That motor weighs around 280. A 115 eTec is 100 more at 380ish. I have a Yamaha 200 that I can install on a jack plate that weighs 400. I'm thinking about putting that on this 20. I love the speed that it would produce, assuming she would run in the 50's. I rode with fellow member BOBBER in his 20 with a 200 and it was a thrill. We'll need more hand holds for unsuspecting passengers... We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the input, guys. |
