Your scuppers reminded me though of something I was wondering. I have never seen ball scupper on new boats. Do they just put in higher decks and flap scuppers on newer boats (of any brand)? or ???

Hmm......i have no idea! I think they use flaps....but half the problem on mine in that stupid in deck baitwell! :eek:

I have an '86 twin to your boat and I'm a little disappointed with the ball scuppers. I wonder if the transom angle doesn't allow the ball to sit properly.

HatTrick,

Just a suggestion, but try adding a wegdge type device under the inside top of the ball cage. The intent is to not let to ball float as high or as much towards the stern as it can without the wedge.

I saw this approach on Roger's MA and he thinks it's a good modification. I think he uses small strips from the circumference of a piece of PVC pipe cut to a lenght that will fit inside the cage piece.
