CValle,
Great looking boat. The side shot of the boat in the water at a dock - is that Vineyard Haven Harbor in front of the Black Dog?

Maybe I missed it. However how did you move the motor well back? Did you section it? Take 10 inches off the back? Or ??

Very nice work.

ScottM,

Good eyes. That's exactly where it is. Another morning run for breakfast with my daughter.

Yup. We cut the stern well about 10" and then moved it back and reglassed it. This allowed us to maintain the original shape but gain more room in the stern for the livewell. I can e-mail pic's if you like.

CValle,

Can you provide a few more details about the great looking wood work on the LP and the dash? Did you use solid wood, veneers or ply. If you used veneer (single or multiple sheets), what was the backing material and what adhesive did you use?

dcobbett,

I used solid 3/4 inch mahogany for the leaning post and the dash. For the wider dash piece on the left, I expoxied two pieces together with a scarf joint. I had to cut relief cuts in the back to get it straight. I then put a coat of epoxy and 10-12 coats of varnish over the mahogany. I have more pic's which I can post.

CValle, what is the leaning post; was it original, pre-fab or custom? It looks great.
