Dont forget Wildfire marine up in stuart?

I know Mike doesn't like to do anything but wood. Not a bad thing, though, if you know what you're doing. I'm taking my boat to him on Saturday. Thought I was dead set on a non-wood deck and transom, he convinced me otherwise.

Don't let the "rot" hype get your mind all twisted around. My 1978 still has 99% of the wood in the hull in tact and strong. There is a very small soft section on the bow casting deck and when I added the cap of the transom there was minor softness in the transom which I dug out and fixed. Wood is still used in Grady Whites and when encapsulated will last another 25+ years.

If your main goal is to save weight, then perhaps I could agree with you.

My goal is to do this once and only once, I would also like the boat to be "bullet proof" I plan on putting this Seacraft through its paces.

Seacrafts are already bullet-proof. ;).A few of them even had .50 caliber machine guns on the bow and were used as pt boats. How badazz is that??
