Re: LOOKING FOR HARDTOP FOR 23 SCEPTRE ?????

I have a 'vision' for my ultimate bimini set-up for my 23' Tsunami w/ an i/o but I've never seen it anywhere.. Any ideas ?

It would look like a typical hardtop, but not as heavily built, therefore not as heavy. It would be a very light, sturdy alum frame (possibly w/ an lightweight-arch a part of it) - the top 'roof' would be of a solid, strong, durable light material that could support a surfboard or two, strapped to the top ( this top would not be intended for human weight ).

The thing woould be light! and strong! But not change the ride of the boat !

Anybody know of anything like this ?

Talk to a tower top builder about ?'possibly'? using thin walled marine grade annodized aluminum for the frame. A couple cross-members to support the surfboards . Canvas/ sunbrella is the lightest option. You could also try a UV resistane corrugated PVC/Polyester board. They are pretty tough, here they use them for hurricane protection on windows.

Take a look at Mine. It is a frame with a laced on sumbrella cover. Works great. No problems with weight. I found it used on CSC last year. I posted some photos last summer.
