Also, Armstrong makes a floatation bracket and I have seen a couple 20's with it on the stern. Is there any big difference between Armstrong's and Hermco's?

Hermco bracket is all glass, has more flotation and is more expensive. Armstrong is aluminum, so galvanic corrosion around stainless fasteners can eventually be a problem. They used to be painted epoxy; don't know if they have switched to powdercoat, which might be a little better..

No expert, but my next project will be with a Hermco bracket. Seems to be worth the money and is a good product.

And they look a whole lot better, too!

I can't say for certain how the Hermco bracket performs, but it does look good. I should have some real numbers this weekend. Motor is being hung today. Bracket#1 Bracket#2
