Re: I own a Seacaft?

Get a small 1 gal gas can - put a galloon of gas and a can of SeaFoam in it - any auto parts store has it - this can be done in the water or driveway but expect lots of smoke - warm it up good and pull the fuel line off and stick it in the little tank and run it 15 min and shut down for 15 - continue until gone. You may have to move the idle up a tad to keep it running. If its still smoking alot you may want to do again sooner than 50 hrs but do this every 50 to 75 hrs, it will burn off the carbon from the pistons and even clean the plugs too - which I would also check the gap on and set .30 and square up the electrodes with a small file or emery board, you can extend their life that way. Keep it cleaned out and it will run forever.
If its carbed you can use Deep Creep which is the same stuff and just spray down the carb throats but with multiple carbs is kind of a pain

You just got yourself a nice ride. The Master Angler is a bit more rare than the SF and is a bit friendlier if you fish a lot. Use the hell out of it and it will treat you right for the long haul. I love my MA and use it nonstop. Great Boat. Congrats on your new friend...

Yes,I really didn't recognize the difference. My fist project will be to move the throttle. It is set up on the left and I would feel at ease with the throttle in my right hand.

Mines on the right can't imagine one on the left

My 1979 20 MA was originally powered with a mid-80's Merc 200 Black Max with throttle on the left. Real PITA, especially with the TnT on the wrong side. Straightened that out when repowered. The helm was extreme starboard of the monster console making me wonder if this was factory.?. Nice Score, by the way! Good Luck.

Where is she in Mass. and where's her new home in Jersey? Part II.
