Well I found a motor.Its a 97 merc 200 carb,fresh water motor from up around clark hill.Compression #s are good,no corrosion.They fired it up and it sounded great,I know its gonna suck some gas but I got it for 1500.00 (hell to be poor)Hopefully it will be allright till I can swing something else.Gonna put a water pump thermostats and poppet valve and cross my fingers.I really appreciate all the input and help.

I have a '94 200 that was a freshwater motor too, for the money you can buy a tanker of fuel for the difference
