I do not want to de-rail this thread...however since you asked me a question let me reply and then put it to sleep if you wish.

but I have to ask you this..... if you were not really interested why take the time to make 2 replys to this thread?

If the asking price is $1000. I am interested. If the asking price is $10,000. I am not interested. That does not mean at 10k the boat is over priced...it just means no interest for me.

Also ask yourself this question. Would you rather have 5 emails of interested buyers? Or 50 emails that say what are you asking?

I may be the only one that thinks this way and if I am so be it.

All in all the boat will be a nice find for some one.

As the owner is not sure what to ask for the boat as it is rather unique here is his phone # 1 860 460 8498 for those not interested in emailing.

it's one of a kind! Best offer!

A boat's worth is only valued at what someone is willing to payfor it!

I thought "Best Offer" meant just that "Best Offer"
Maybe a starting price of $1,000 would get the ball rolling

I was holding off on announcing this but what the heck. I'm going to have mine up for sale real soon. He can get an appraisal done and go from there; this is what I might do.

From the owner:

"This Potter built 23' Seavette has Flag Blue Awl Grip with lime green boot stripe. Teak trim inside and out with cockpit bolster cushions. A 1988 Johnson 225 outboard sits on the stern. This boat needs a complete restoration as everything is original. The hull is sound, the foredeck is soft and the cockpit deck needs some new fiberglass deck panels. The pics are of what it was prior to me storing it eight years ago. The unique Seavette is destined for the serious Seacraft enthusiast who will appreciate it as much as I did.
No trailer. $2500 Cash Toddinhouse@yahoo.com"
