I am not insulting anyone, just stating a fact. Keep in mind that if you got an amazing deal, it was probably because of someone else's misfortune. Your gain could be somebody else's great loss. Boat's can be a pretty personal thing as most of you know, so please keep that in mind when you gloat about what a great deal you may have received.

All I can say is that my family was ripped off royally by one of our "classy"
members. If I had been present, believe me, it would not have happened.
So, I already had my "bad" day. Do not sell when you feel pressured in any way. Count to ten, walk away, and THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN so this
will not happen to you too.
I have every right to voice my opinion, sad as it is. I think this is absolutely the right place to do so. Treasure the boats you are lucky enough to be able to afford but please don't low-ball those of us who are unlucky enough to have to sell them. Please just be fair.

To the "gentleman" who called me "Miss Sleeze", I want to remind you that
I am not the one who is insulting - you are. I am the one who was taken advantage of; one who you should have some empathy for. Sorry if you can't understand that. Perhaps you fall into the category of one of the aggressive buyers I am talking about???

In a casual sale there is a buyer and a seller.
If the seller makes the deal and the buyer
accepts, CASE CLOSED!
If someone got a deal so be it....
Nobody had a gun to your head!
Get over it and move on......

That's a little rich coming from someone who sees fit to dis the entire membership here within their first couple of posts don't you think?! One person out of over 3,000 registered CSC members offered someone in your family a financial sum that was accepted and now you have sellers remorse - is that about the gist of it? Grow the procreating-act up already!

I realize the early teen years can be tough for some but once you get your learners permit, get out of the house a bit more, etc., things will look up. Until then, try not to act so juvenile, it doesn't reflect well on you.

Out of respect for the administrator, I'll abstain from what could have been a fantastic rant.

Must have been me sorry bout that. :D However unless the seller is mentally challenged in some way I see nothing wrong with trying to save MY family money by starting out with a low ball offer. Welcome to the world of sales. Sounds like you are pissed because someone sold a boat that you really liked. If you were so concerned about it why did you not offer to buy it your self?

Ah yes, price is an interesting concept. Here is another side to the story.

I bought my seafari from a gentleman who had a very high regard for his boat, rightly so, it's a great base to build on. It just took him 3 (or was it 4?) years to realize he wasn't going to sell it for what he thought it was worth. In the meantime the real market value of the boat declined by around 60 per cent. I was still willing to give him more than it was worth, just less than a couple of years previous. We compromised, he came down a whole bunch and I paid maybe a quarter more than it was worth at the time, because I really wanted this particular boat. I think we both got a good deal, despite the fact that I could bitch about overpaying and he could bitch about the offered price declining, a lot.

One more, if somebody has the authority to sell the boat and accepts a given price, nobody else has the right to bitch about it after the fact.

You come on "our" site and without so much as an intro, you impune OUR moral fiber. Three posts and no explanation of the actual facts.

Use the search function to get a little backround and understanding please.

I have well over 200 hrs. of work in my friend and I bought a dry and solid slacker rig. How many hours does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll? Multiply that by shop time and get back to me.

Tell your "family" to go look in the many mirrors and ask yourselves this.
