The old yami's had corrsion issues is all - swivel pin/steering arm - shift rod and lower unit where the bearing carrier screws in - salt would make the outer edge crack but fixable. Thats all the issues, they are Johnson/Rude copies and solid. The swivel pin is an expensive fix of all, the others you could deal with.

they used to have some crappy japanese stainless...many a shift rod problem for sure ....i'm like 15 20 from that boat
