Re: SeaCraft another No Show
Speaking of molds, I wonder what ever happened to the 15ft mold?
I know it went from Moesly to Potter between 1968-70. Did Potter build any of the 15's? Or know what happened to the mold after 1970? Anybody know or know who might know? I'd love to see one of those little fun boats again! It is a shame SeaCraft has stopped production, but somebody will do something ... It's too good of a boat. |
Re: SeaCraft another No Show
Ken-No vision, too corporate. My thought is that just like McMansions, the 30+ foot center console boats have lost many buyers due to houses no longer being ATM machines and also higher gas prices. Smaller SeaCraft sized boats will be the new trend once again.

Re: SeaCraft another No Show
There have been a lot of mfgs going under. SeaSport boats here in Bellingham, WA. went under last year and I thought they were so well established that would never happen, but the founding family (WRIGHTS) sold it to a local company w/o deep pockets and now they are gone along with the BOONDOCKS business and the buildings are for sale. They started up making 12 fiberglass boats for Sears back in the early 60's and went up from there to the 32' sizes.
