i forgot something here - the screws on the fuel sending unit - take a close look at them...notice anything ? ?
the screws are different - see it now ?
the owner,he used a few "self tapping" screws in place of the standard 10-32 machine screws - nice huh ?

had a guy buy a new tunnel hulled deck boat from the dealer where I worked a few years back, the trailer for that boat wasnt in yet so we let him use a loaner trailer for a while till his came in, well he brought the boat back a few weeks later to get his new trailer, we went to lift the boat and swap the trailers and the trailer lifted off the ground with the boat! I made sure the straps were not still hooked up transom and walked around it kinda puzzled, I gave the trailer a good kick and it came loose and droped to the ground , I looked under the boat and there were 4 long sheet metal screws sticking out the bottom of the hull on each side. the owner had installed larger bilge pumps in each side in place of the small factory installed pumps , said he didnt think the 500gph pumps were big enough. used 2" screws to hold them down and screwed his boat to the trailer bunks!!
