looks like a west coast(fl) picture. Even back then my east coast beach was not that nice.

John U. Loyd Beach State Park in Dania (Broward County) looked like that at least into the '80s. The beach was lined with Australian Pines. That was one of our haunts when we were in our teens and 20s. I don't know if the Australian Pines are still there.
