Boat weight & trailer questions
 

Click on Classic SeaCraft Home at the bottom of the page and look at the Brochures and Specifications. The 20 sf bare hull weighs 1400-1600 lbs depending on year. I'll PM you with a spreadsheet listing the weights I came up with for all the stuff on my boat that you can use to get a rough idea of your total weight.

Post some pictures of that trailer if you want our opinion of it. My trailer was $1800 in 1985, but those dollars were a lot bigger than todays! Don't know what they want for them nowadays. Sounds like your's probably has at least $500 worth of new stuff on it, so you definitely didn't get screwed, but some roller trailers are really well designed and others are not. If yours is one of the latter, you bought it cheap enough that you could probably buy some of the EZ Loader roller assemblies for it and make it a great trailer for a lot less than a new EZ Loader!

ok cool i will post pictures as soon as i get the time...thanks for the help guys appreciate it...instead of posting a new thread i will just add it to this one...do you guys have any preferences on electronics...i would like something nice and dependable...right now i have a garmin 182 (came with the boat)...i was thinking about purchasing a lowrance hds 7 or 8...? any review on those? or any suggestions? also i would like to flush mount it in my console is that a challenge to do?
