with my wife and three kids on i cruise between 3900 and 4100 at about 36 mph on the gps. and only once have i opened it up alone with half tank and saw 58 mph on the gps at 5700 rpm. it was just a quick burst for quick few seconds i didnt mess with trim or anything just got on it and them off it again. got a bit spooky, speed sure feels different on the water.

by the way i saw pics of that 23 you bought, thats nice, realy what i wanted but those 23's are still just a bit out my financial reach! i came close to a couple and then they wanted to sell without trailer or include it for more cash, i never could figure that out if your selling then sell dont screw with someone after the drive two hours to come see the boat! drove me nuts, their was always some weired catch!

Beautiful Boat! Is your fuel tank in the console? If so, what size is it? Mine is in the console under the seat and measured out to be around 40 gallons.

yep exactly, mine is under the seat above the deck, and it is also 40 gallons.

Nice ride!

How is your console attached to the floor? This one has 1 1/2" angle screwed to the floor and the console attached (by screws) to the angle. Need to do a little work on mine in that area.

mine has a form in the floors glasswork that the counsel lies next to, its screwed into that form.

Deck Drain Leaking

Hello I am new to this site and need some advise.

My son bought a 1973 20 Sc and it has deck drains that go thru the hull. One is leaking at the bottom and I need to know how it is assembled so I can take it apart and repair. I see it has a Brass Thru Hull Nut is it a brass pipe to the deck?
