"The boaters with thin skin complained and the city took the benches away so it came to an end"

Cuban launch: Back down real fast with all cables and lines removed. Slam on brakes at the correct instant. Boat jumps off the trailer into the water just fine. . . . Assuming you hit the brakes at the right time. Add a few pops, a lot of machismo, a little inexperience and the boat ends up on the pavement or the tow vehicle gets wet, very wet.

Common in S Florida.

This was last november at my local ramp.

I launched at the ramp and came back to this.
Low tide and backed in a little too far and dropped of the ramp, trailer was for a smaller pontoon boat. Truck was pulled in by the weight of the water once the bed filled.

Quickly and badly. I`m no hero. I hit something on my 20th hr. of ownership. Motor hit the rev limiter as it kicked up and scared the poop outta my under thru hull.

I went back and looked all around. Turtle? Log? Shark?

Pelican, Pretty near all boats are tough in the keel, is what I meant, not giving them credit they don't deserve. :p I am a newbie over here but not totally uninitiated.
A thief stole my friend Norm's 17' Osprey with tower of power 90 horse. They slung it off the trailer in an intersection after the winch strap broke. The boat hit the pavement and skidded off the road, I was shocked to find there was no structural damage just scratched (ie machined) gelcoat and a broken skeg.

That pic. of the dually in the drink is a heartbreaker. Makes you think twice ...

They only keep me here for the entertainment.

And my fascination with sand. I graduated from the marsh to sand bars.

Mmmm little necks. If some other flatlander tells me .... oh never mind.

They are little necks. Ipswich is a town.

Knotta clam.

Send me to boat naming school if you must,
