I don't get it?? I just inquired to the Mods about posting wanted ads on ClassicSeacraft.com.... Was told that is goes against their rules and policies and yet I see wanted ads all over the place....???

So is it or is it not allowed??

PLEASE READ THE STICKYS threads in the "FOR SALE" forum section!!!!

Thanks Chuck-

I too do not understand why it is so hard for people to read the rules...

What can we do to make it more clear?

Forum Rules...

Well having been a long term member to a similar forum, I read the "Sticky: Rules to posting in this Forum".... Unfortunately it didn't really say much other than posting your boat for sale requires a one time fee of $25. Didn't address anything regarding any other products nor did it address "Want To Buy" Ads.

So out of respect to the site, I simply asked in another thread if you had to pay to post "Want To Buy" ads. Never stated specifically what I was wanting to post that I was wanting to buy, but my immediate response from an Administrator and I quote was....

"Want to Buy boat ads are NOT allowed regardless of payment "

I never stated I was even looking to post a "Want to Buy" ad for a boat.... Rather possibly another marine type product... I.e., electronics.

So, when I see other "want to buy" ads it's only left to wonder what indeed are the rules, because it wasnt until now when the Adminstrator outlined more info regarding what's appropriate regarding posting in this forum and not from the actual Forum "Sticky" that I became fully aware.

You may want to go and check out your Forum "Sticky" before you start assuming that people can't read.

The description of the forum on the main forum page clearly states posting "wanted to buy" boats is not allowed, literally in the description of this forum the one you have to click on to get here.

As for "wanted to buy" items other than boats your right that's not stated on the "sticky" or elsewhere but if one can sell anything but boats here for free, as stated, then the point of excluding "wanted to buy" like with boats is null.
