Personally, I would not put twins on anything smaller than 25' length and 8.5' beam.

For me, the beauty of the SC23 CC is that it is a bigger small boat. It has all the simplicity of an small single outboard boat, but its large enough to go offshore in relative comfort. A SC23CC with twins now is a tiny big boat, all the extra junk/weight of a big boat with not enough room (hull volume) to support it well.

My buddy has an avanti 27' CC with a enclosed transom and 300 HPDI. His boat would support twin 150 better than my SC23

I have been on a SeaVee Contender White Water you can't go wrong with anyone of them

If you can go with a 27, a friend of mine that owns a sea tow company explained to me that at that size the boat can span from wave to wave and you get a much better ride

Spent a 4 days diving off a single diesel powered inboard SeeVee, 31 ft, I think. Sweet boat, and dry for the conditions, but we never saw anything that challenged the hull.

Twins are a personal prefrence for sure, with a good flotation bracket the 23 handles twins well. I have had 200s ,250s and 150s. I use my boat every week and have had to come back on one 3 times in the last 3 years and was glad I had one to come home with. I can't come home fast but I have come home and did not have to wait for sea tow.

Not to de-rail the OP but would you elaborate (performance, model, etc.) on those combos??

I have had all of those on my 23 sceptre 200s were first at 59mph they were not a matched set by no means a 2.4 and a 2.5 both carb motors next were 250efis would run 65mph all day with a set of 24pitch 4 blades just no gas pumps out in the gulf. Last 150 opti's not fast by any means but right at 3mpg, I filled up my tank before going to the keys last week ran 4 days and came home with a half a tank. My choice for the perfect set of engines on my boat would be a set of 2.5L 200 opti's but they are hard to find.

That Rabco is a good buy, I think they have a narrow 8ft beam and are designed to be efficient with a signal outboard engine.
