Mark: "Classic" lines are timeless to some, ugly to others. In addition, keep in mind that Carl Moesly was all about "form follows function."
Remember this boat is from the late 60s (IIRC). Not too many, if any, "aerodynamic" superstructures on boats of that era.

How many Bayliners do you actually see from the 1980's? And how many would you go off shore in?

Form follow functions and quality never goes out of style.

Imagine, just for a second, if it said "Bayliner" on the side of it instead of SeaCraft. Would it still be swooned over here or recognized as the hideous boat it is?

I agree with you...but I don't think it is hideous:p

It is fun to see these old boats some you can tell what era they are from and some are timeless.

I've been around this site long enough to know that to many folks here, a half empty sack of Quikrete would be deemed elegant, form follows function, Moesly's gift to humanity, etc. -as long as it simply says SeaCraft on it. If Carl Moesly or Bill Potter had been involved with the design/production of the AMC Pacer, it would be drooled upon here.

I prefer the SeaMaster. That tower certainly doesn't help its awkward cabin lines...
