Is this motor to heavy to self bail if the deck is raised 1"? Assume batteries in console, tanks slid forward, etc.

I think you'll be ok. My Seafari has the earlier lower deck and it still self bails (just barely), despite a 433 lb motor mounted 30" aft on a bracket, although the large flotation tank on the Hermco bracket provides lots of flotation. Water line is about 1" lower than when I had a 300 lb motor on it. Before and after pics shown below.

Well here she is, now gotta finish the 20SF.

Good news is the motor came with a boat to use while working on the SeaCraft.
