Brown & Hauptner Marine! Just a couple miles up the road from me, where I bought my boat from Frank Brown! Unfortunately it was sold about 1985 and turned into the Waterway Cafe! Their website, which says it was built on the site of the Waterway Marina, is wrong! The Waterway Marina, where Fr. Frank worked, is across the street and still in business, but now known as the PGA Marina!

What about the new SOHC Mercury 115 Command Thrust 4 stroke? 355 pounds with the 25 inch shaft and there was a video from Australia where they hung one on the back of a little 18 foot cuddy and rigged a standard 125 Optimax on an identical boat. The 115 Command Thrust ate the Opti's lunch in all categories, even hole shot and it wasn't close. It had like 3-4 mph higher top end to boot and 10% better fuel economy. That is pretty impressive considering the Opti is supposed to be one of the most efficient modern 2 strokes around. We know that the 150 Merc 4S is a gam changer in that power range and it looks like the new 115 might be too. do you guys think that you could hang one of those on the transom of a 20 Seafari and not worry about a floatation bracket?
