Rust/EX is sodium mercaptoacetate, aka sodium thioglycolate. It is an organic reducing agent designed for originally for reducing waviness or curliness pf hair. Unfortunately, when used in more than .5% solution, it's also a fantastic depilatory.
Its used now for the purpose of removing tannin and iron oxide stains, particularly from porous rock and concrete. It doesn't do much for anything else, though.

Try a product called FSR..I have used many time and it cleans all stubborn stains..wipe the gel on with a rag let it sit for a couple minutes and wipe and hose off..should get the result your looking for!
