One thing I wish I had done when I redid the steering on my 23 sceptre was get the hoses with the strain relief bulkhead fittings on them. Or alternatively bought a thread on bulkhead fitting and used separate hoses from the transom to the motor (I have an enclosed transom with a bracket).
Just would have been a neater install.

As it was, I used the uflex R8B hydraulic hose dual bulkhead fitting, which fits over the full length hose, and looks OK.

Heres what mine ended up looking like.
Had i planned ahead a bit, I could've made it look a little better. But its definitely good enough.
I had the engine off, and the bracket off for paint, and I was working on the transom blah, blah, blah.
Cant always think of everything!! :rolleyes:
