Congrats Michael. We need to see that new boat! Which member won the lottery???

Ha! Unfortunately I missed the boat, LITERALLY!!! I’ve got too much to liquidate to make the final purchase. But I’m working on it. May have to offer up my first SeaCraft, the MA. Really hate to do it but it’s not proving practical for fishing the GOM, and I am moving towards spending most of my time in Fla. I’ll find the right boat. Thanks.

Vezo.

Michael.

Sorry Mike, I didn't see this. The answer is more complex but here it goes. Yes, I use my cabin for storage but the dash and windshield play a significant role in the overall comfort of my boat. This includes shade for 4+ adults all day vs a CC T top that will shade your head from 11 am to 1 pm.

While I rarely use the cabin for a cabin, the most critical role it plays is shedding water when I end up in the shit. Over the years I have taken some waves over the bow and a few would have been swampers in an open CC. Never once has one breached the windshield.

As far as anchoring and fishing. I'm not big on anchoring. When I do I have my rode already tied off up front to length for the area I'm fishing and keep the rode and anchor in a milk crate on the deck with an anchor ball for retrieval. I set this up the day before when I'm on the trailer so no monkey dancing on the water. Everything can be done from the stearn from that point.

At this point in my life I would never go back to a CC. I get to fish and dive on some real nice ones but every time I always miss my mini express SeaCraft and all the security and comfort it provides.

Boat has been sold to a young man who is a new member here. Thank you CSC!
