I think I used approx 5 gal of RAKA epoxy 2:1 just to bed the core and 6 layers of glass for inside skin. I would say at lease another two gal for additional glass before the core goes in. Also checkout CooperDOG, he is not far from you and has a bracket from Stoner Boatworks and Console from Many at Competition. Also, he is getting ready for paint on the outside. Worth meeting up, W have been bouncing ideas off each other for a better part of a year.

Keep the pics coming. I am in St Augustine and have 2-1973 23's. Both have had transom fill in and both have Armstrongs, 1 has single , 1 has dual. Both redone with plywood in the tansom 10-15 years ago before I acquired them and both have or had original deck. The single is completely gutted to the stringers with cap removed. I just acquired the dual with 2005 Yamaha 4 stroke 150's , it is in bad shape cosmetically and I plan to get it patched up and use for the next couple years while redoing the single. Ill send you a PM, like to see your work.

Hey Y’all, between Covid shut down and a torn rotator cuff I have been dead in the water. I just now am able to get back at it. One 1.5 coosa transom in, and stringers out. Adding one more sheet of coosa for transom and then will be boxing in a stringer system to today’s standards. 4.5 inch higher deck with thinner stringers for maximizing in deck storage. Hopefully this new momentum continues

I’ve been there on illness. I had kidney stones part way into my build. Get better and don’t set yourself back.

Just keep knocking out job after job on it. Eventually it will come together.
Btw like the direction you’re heading. Looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

I got the two1.5 coosa sheets laminated with lots of glass. ( epoxy entire project). The total is 3.7 in thick. I’ve mocked up the stringer with nida core and will start glassing them in soon. Then I will box in my bulk heads and rest of lateral supports for hatches.

How far do y’all place the center of the console on a bracket boat from the outside transom skin? What is the factory distance ?

Thanks for advise and help

He will need some long bolts for that one. Should be able to handle any thing if tabbed in well though.
