looks like an extra "0" somehow. things errors do happen during manufacturing and vessel requirements change. I believe 1974-1975 Coast Guard hull numbers were revamped. Prior years they were different. I would not be overly concerned. If your stamped hull number matches your title then your in good shape. Be glad you own Hull #1. Mine was #049.

Interesting you say that, the title is actually missing the "E" but not sure I am concerned with that either....I am very happy to have #1 for that year, makes for a better story.

Congratulations on the project! I have a 1972 vintage boat, but the decks were solid and did not pull them up. I am very close to you, in Spotswood, so about 20 minutes away if you need any help. I am terrible at fairing and glassing, however, better at electrical and mechanical stuff. Good Luck!
