I opted to do my Sceptre recore from the top and If i could do it again , would opt to pull the cap and. Do all work from underside for reasons Strick mentioned. Other spots back by the rod holders will need to be done too. Not to mention any stiffening you want to add to support legs for a top if that is in your plans. Dont think it will be too hard to separate - popping the adhesive at the bulkhead might be the hardest part and just handling a part that size.

Do like I did. Cut the windshield header off where it hits the cap and put aside. Pull the cap and gunnels and replace the entire cap with 3/4 nidacore except on the rear gunnels use Bluewater coosa. Then replace the bulkhead with the same and glass the cap to the hull. Then glass the windshield header back to the cap. Don’t go the Cc route as the Sceptre is a far better dive boat with way more room in the back that you will need.

Come over and see mine.

Boats been sitting. We remodeled the house. Rebuild the aquarium. Put in a pool. Blah blah blah. But!!! I’m gonna finally start. I’ll get some updates in here and there as I go.
